Tematyka dotycząca zmian klimatycznych zawsze była i wciąż jest aktualna w naszej szkole. Wielu naszych uczniów (obecnie już absolwentów) wzięło udział w strajkach klimatycznych. Jednak zainteresowanie ochroną klimatu wydaje się, że znowu osłabło wśród społeczności uczniowskiej. Zmiany klimatyczne wydają się być trochę mniej zauważalne. Oszczędzanie zasobów (wyłączanie światła i ogrzewania, zamykanie okien), ograniczanie i segregacja odpadów, korzystanie z transportu publicznego i jazda na rowerze to tematy, nad którymi chcemy pracować wspólnie z naszymi partnerami w tym projekcie. Uważamy to za nasze ważne zadanie, aby uwrażliwić na problemy związane ze zmianami klimatu jak największą populację. Chcemy również skupić się na talentach uczniów, którzy są bardzo kreatywni. Mamy talenty w dziedzinie muzycznej, artystycznej, informatycznej, logistycznej, itd., które będziemy wykorzystywali i rozwijali w tym projekcie.About the project
We are the ChangeOur students are, more or less, aware of the climate change issues. Many of them participated in the Fridays for Future demonstrations, started by Greta Thunberg. Unfortunately, the issue of climate change has been pushed into the background due to various political and economic problems, so it is important to raise students' awareness of climate change and to cooperate worldwide.
Using the example of climate change and environmental protection, the students should realize that political, economic and ecological challenges can only be solved together with international partners. All those involved in the project should acquire various key competences: creativity, language skills, ICT skills,teamwork skills, etc. In addition, boosting the students’ self-confidence , their self-reliance as well as a positive self-image should be promoted. The project should encourage the students to act in a sustainable way.
The project work will take place across different subjects, during the teachers’ courses and job shadowing activities. The plan is to involve experts or those affected in order to build up a holistic and sustainable understanding. Visits to companies are planned, as are discussion with politicians or representatives of environmental organizations. Environmental education is the main focus in terms of content. This will be linked with creative subjects such as art
and music as well as sports. An international running challenges and plogging (steps, garbage collection) will be carried out. Garbage will also be artistically processed and reused (upcycling).
Students will make various presentations (power point, videos, exhibitions). At the end of the project a booklet will be created. This booklet is going to be a summary of the content of the mobility activities. The focus is to be on the impressions and experiences of the students.
The topic of migration as a consequence of climate change will be creatively implemented in posters. In addition, a lot of challenges will be carried out: Will my family manage to produce no plastic waste for a week? Will my class (my family) manage to separate and recycle waste properly?
